William Butler Flew this route from Yes Bay in a Grumman Goose. Could not use PlanG or did not know how. Used the GPS and the Map feature in FSX. Flew at 4500 agl over mtns first 1/2 the flight and descended and flew through the canyons on the last half. This was the most enjoyable flight I have had. If also occurred to me after completing the flight that I could fly this route, take off in the Goose and switch to the C-47 in flight if that is necessary.

Norm Richards Now I think you stalled out in the middle and had a crash.. but the final landing was great lol. This was a huge test leg..lol.. so approved and on to the next. Hope we're having fun!. lol.
William Butler Norm, I did not know there was a "crash" on this flight until I read your comment. On approach I flew up stream and made descending turn and flew low over the opposite side of the river and stabilized rate of descent and altitude. On the turn to final I was near the treetops and may have added power but did not know the aircraft had touched the ground (crashed) as the plane was flying normally. Had I known I would not have filed the PIREP. Guess I was concentrating too much on making a flat approach and landing. It was the best I have yet done. Flying through the Valley's south of the field was mainly by visual reference to the terrain. Made the flight realistic and most enjoyable.
