MFC0057 Whitehorse to Valdez (CYXY-PAVD)

This is a bridge trip of sorts to get us from Whitehorse Canada to Valdez Alaska. We cross remote tundra areas run through rock cuts and atop glaciers. These are shorter hops this trip as there is much more concentration required for each trip at higher altitudes (and it is intended also to use a smaller, lighter aircraft. (Maule M7 or Piper Cub).

There is still many cabins to see but we are getting into some remote territory in the Yukon then exploring some of the sites in the St. Elias National park and preserve, glaciers in the Chugach National forest are before reaching the Gulf of Alaska, crossing Orca Bay,  the Hinchbrook  area and into the Valdez Arm and Port of Valdez.

Aircraft: Single engine fixed wing: Maule M7, Piper PA18 Supercub, Piper J3 Cub, C185, DHC2 Beaver, DHC3 Otter, 206 Soloy etc as well as light rotorcrafts make for a challenge in this trip (especially if real weather is used).  (Maule M7 will be my choice of vehicle this trip but feel free to fly what you wish).
