MFS0025 Atlantic Canada (Part One)

This trip will take us through Atlantic Canada. Continuing our journey from the NEUS excursion, we’ll depart the US at the southeast coast of Maine and cross the border into Canada via Grand Manan Island, New Brunswick.

The Maritimes, also called the Maritime provinces, is a region of Eastern Canada consisting of three provinces: New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island. The Maritimes had a population of 1,813,606 in 2016, which makes up 5.6% of Canada's population. Together with Canada's easternmost province, Newfoundland and Labrador, the Maritime provinces make up the region of Atlantic Canada.
 
Located along the Atlantic coast, various aquatic sub-basins are located in the Maritimes, such as the Gulf of Maine and Gulf of St. Lawrence. The region is located northeast of the United States’ New England, south and southeast of Quebec's Gaspé Peninsula, and southwest of the island of Newfoundland.

The Excursion:
This is intended to be a low level flight excursion. The flight legs are longer than the previous tour and range between 75 nm and 130 nm. We’ll have to visit a few airports in the province of Quebec, on departure from Newfoundland, which is outside the “Maritimes” but this keeps the legs from being much longer as there are fewer airports in Newfoundland.

Aircraft:
These are all land runways and some of the legs are not very long so a lighter aircraft/helo will do. Speed is best around 100-130 kts to be able to enjoy the site seeing aspect. Either single or twin (standard or turbo engine prop) will fit the bill and as always, please feel free to use your craft of choice from the fleet.
Might run a twin engine prop for this excursion (and the next) ie: B58, BN2, C310 or C414.

Time/Weather:
If possible try live time and live weather. If not possible set your own weather and time parameters and enjoy the scenery.  (Dawn or Dusk are the nicest times to fly and can yield very pretty and interesting lighting effects).
