MFS0034 Misty Mail Run-4: Homer to Juneau

This trip is the forth Misty mail run: a low and slow mail delivery trip from Homer, through the Kenai Peninsula, Chugach National Forest, Wrangell-St Elias National Park & Reserve Haines State Forest, (USA) and Tatshenshihi-Alsek Provincial Park, (Canada) to the city of Juneau which is the capital of Alaska.

The Excursion:
This again as in the previous “mail” runs is intended to be a low level flight excursion with multiple stops in a wheeled STOL type aircraft. The airports are land bases however many strips are short in length. For the most part, there are also helipads or open field locations to land a helicopter. The flight legs, in this excursion are all under 70 nm.
 
Aircraft:
Speed of aircraft is best around 70-120 to be able to enjoy the site seeing aspect: STOL/fixed wing, ultralight or helicopters. There are helipads at most of the locations. *As far as fixed wing aircraft is concerned: single engine standard (non-turbo) or will fit the bill. Small single engine prop like a Beaver, Cessna,  Piper or Wilga are the nicest to fly and on some shorter legs perhaps a small cub or ultralight but as always, please use your aircraft of choice.

SIM/ICAO Capability:
MSFS, FSX and P3D (all versions).

Time/Weather:
If possible try live time and live weather. If not possible set your own weather and time parameters and enjoy the scenery.  (Dawn or Dusk are the nicest times to fly and can yield very pretty and interesting lighting effects).
