MFC0041 Rockies-1 - Grants-Milan NM to Eagle County Reg CO (KGNT-KEGE)

We are entering the Rocky Mountain chain and will explore this mountain range from south to north weaving through various areas as we head back to Alaska and there are many scenic areas to explore.

This series will take a while as we work back to RTMM land. As we explore we’ll visit the Canyons and the Rocky Mountain chain: Full of natural scenic value as well as plenty of eye candy.

We are just in “FTX Global” but for airports, the FTX freeware global airports package contain most of the airports that we are going to cover in this and following excursions. There is a couple of ORBX Pays but the default airports are adequate).

All landings in this excursion are on fairly nice runways. There is two stops in each leg, and there are eight longer legs to this excursion as we make our way from Grants-Milan Municipal Airport, Grants, New Mexico to Eagle County Regional Airport located in Eagle Colorado.

Single these eight legs have a bit more distance a larger aircraft might be a nicer ride. BT67, C-47, DC-3, C130,  AC50, DHC6 Otter might fit the bill.

I have set this up to show the C-47, which I plan to use: It’s a heavy duty aircraft built by Douglas and has served in various capacities for many years, but, as always, you can use any prop aircraft or helicopter that resembles an aircraft in the fleet! (Floats or amphibians are not necessary in this excursion!!)
