MFS0036 Reach for the Top PF20-PASC

Description:

MFS0036 Reach for the Top

The route of this trip is from Misty’s Place (PF20) up the top of the world almost: Deadhorse Alaska on Prudhoe Bay on the Beaufort Sea, Arctic Ocean.

We are following a combination of routes to get there. RTMM locations and sim locations from FSX/P3D as well as MSFS routes. Some will recall the BWEP in FSX/P3D, well we are travelling a similar route to Deadhorse.

FSX-P3D Users will have the BWEP Pipeline and their in route airports while MSFS users will have similar from a photogrammetry perspective.

This is the first excursion that sets up our crossing North American, USA-Canada tours to venture through the Caribbean Islands, the northern tip of South America and returning home via the countries of the Central America, Westner USA states, provinces of Alberta, BC, Yukon/NWT to get use back to Misty Place Alaska.

This kicks off Misty Moorings and Return to Misty Moorings tribute of sorts for firstly Doug Linn creator of MM and subsequently Doug Linn and Brad Allen and a salute to their designers and contributors along the way. The designers and contributors are from international sources but will limit this and following excursions to the Western Hemisphere!

Thanks to all those at MM and RTMM for creating this environment for us to explore and enjoy. And so we begin our long journey with this first excursion.

The Excursion:
This excursion is intended to be a low level flight excursion with multiple stops at various locations between Misty’s Place and Deadhorse Alaska.

The airports are all land based and medium sized. There are no planned water moorings but there are lots on the way to see. If you want to land on some of these water moorings, please ensure you have the appropriate aircraft.

Aircraft:

The legs range between 70-100 nm so a slightly larger aircraft is recommended. Kodiak, Twin Otter, Caravan, Bonanza, Baron, King Air are fitting aircraft for this excursion.

As always, please use your aircraft of choice and if required you can change to an alternate aircraft (for every leg if you want) via the cigar box aircraft section.

SIM/ICAO Compability:
MSFS, FSX and P3D (all versions).

Time/Weather:
If possible try live time and live weather. If not possible set your own weather and time parameters and enjoy the scenery.  (Dawn or Dusk are the nicest times to fly and can yield very pretty and interesting lighting effects).
