MFC0015 SIRP Petersburg Exploration

This is the S.I.R.P. Stikine Icefield Research Program. WE are exploring the SIRP Icefields and a whole lot more in this exploration from cabins to unknown airstrips and other POI’s.

RTMM DESIGNER CREDITS: Original FS2004 Scenery was created by "The Amigos", Bill Dick, Phil Cayton, Glenn "Woody" Fout, Doug Linn and Ed Truthan. This new SIRP for FSX-P3D was created and designed by Mike Broemme. Objects and texture adaptations for FSX and P3D by Brad Allen.

Based on its real world counterpart, the JIRP (Juneau Icefield Research Program), this scenery package places 10 isolated research camps at various locations in the vast Stikine Icefield that straddles the Alaska/British Columbia border. We will be exploring the Glaciers, as well as the SIRP stations – and bring your passport as we will be frequently crossing the US-Canadian Border.

This area has been beautifully rendered with glacial textures and accurate land class in the Tongass X scenery package, but has often remained a rarely traversed and underappreciated region.

There's a great deal of stunning wilderness scenery out there, and it's our hope that this package will provide flyers an opportunity to challenge their VFR skills while visiting some interesting ice field destinations. These camps vary from well-equipped regional supply centers to lonely, wind battered outposts. In addition, all fire, smoke has been specially designed for this release in an attempt to bring a unique "arctic wilderness" feel to the scenery.

Aircraft:Tundra or Ski-wheel single prop, Beaver or C185 or Maule or similar type STOL is ideal or Helo for the Helicopter pilots out there.. None of these are easy stops. Make sure you get the download for the flight leg details and stop-over locations. (And each leg has a stop-over somewhere).
