MFC0023 Kodiak Island Run

Description:

MFC0023 Kodiak (PADQ) Island Run

Kodiak Island, sitting off the Southern coast of Alaska in the Kodiak Archipelago, is home to the city of Kodiak, Alaska's largest fishing port, famous for catches of king crab and salmon. The island is also home to the Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge, which takes up almost two-thirds of the island and protects populations of Kodiak brown bears, all six species of Pacific salmon and 250 species of birds. With a lovely temperate marine climate, Kodiak promises outdoor fun, all year long. On this short excursion, we’ll explore this large island.

_______________

Aircraft: This is another low and slow adventure so the aircraft used must be a single engine fixed wing standard prop Amphibian as landing locations vary from land to water moorings.

All of these flights are short so a lighter single prop is recommended: Aircraft IE:  C185, DHC2 or DHC3 Amphibian but you can use any similar “amphibian”!! Helo pilots do your thing in a helicopter but you require a floats version.
