MFC0024 Kodiak Island to Wasilla

In this transient trip travel from Kodiak Island to the Alaskan mainland via the Preserves, so to speak which consists of: Katmai National Park and Preserve, the McNeil River Game Range, The Lake Clark National Park Preserve (Port Alsworth), Lake Clark Wilderness, Denali State Park and Preserve which hosts the highest mountain peak in North America – Mount McKinley and we are taking a trip over that mountain range.                                              _______________

Aircraft: This is another low and slow adventure (or should say high and slow) so the aircraft used must be a single or multi engine fixed wing standard prop amphibian as landing locations vary from land to water moorings.

All of these flights are short so a single prop or multi is recommended: Aircraft IE:  C185, DHC2, DHC3, DHC6, Beech 18 etc. Most of the RTMM bush planes work here EXCEPT on the first two legs: Legs 1 and 2: MUST BE AN AMPHIBIAN as there are water moorings. (All the remaining and following legs are land moorings)

Similarly helo pilots do your thing in a helicopter but you require a floats version on the first two legs.   

This excursion has 13 Legs but lots of stops around the island and on mainland Alaska (some very high!) as we travel to Wasilla.
