MFC0028 Kenai Peninsula to the County of Valdez-Cordova

On this trip we are making our way from Kenai Municipal on the Kenai Peninsula, firstly a mini-excursion hopping in RTMM’s Doug Linn Kenai Area Airport route as outlined in his RTMM Dispatch 17:  (http://return.mistymoorings.com/here_to_there/dispatches/d_017/d17_index.php), (A copy in the Documents folder).

Following that mini-trip we’re heading eastward to the county of Valdez-Cordova.

On this journey we will once again explore the Kenai area then travel through the Kenai Mountain Range, Prince William Sound, the Chugach Mountain Range and Chugach National Forest before reaching our destination of Valdez Pioneer in the County of Valdez-Cordova Alaska.  

Aircraft: This is another low and slow adventure so the aircraft used must be a single engine fixed wing standard prop Amphibian as landing locations vary from land to water moorings. All of these flights are short so a lighter single prop is recommended: Aircraft IE:  ICON A5, C185, DHC2 or DHC3 “Amphibian versions” but you can use any single engine non-turbo “amphibian”. Heli pilots do your thing in a helicopter but for most legs you require a “floats” or amphibian version.  This excursion has 19 legs but has many, many interesting stops along the way.
