MFC0029 Valdez-Merrill Air Services

This is “Valdez-Merrill Air Services”. A scenic trip from Valdez Pioneer Field (PAVD) through the heart of Alaska before finally reaching Merrill Field (PAMR) and then our return to Valdez Pioneer Field (PAVD). This is a mail run of sorts and we are making all regular stops all across Alaska so be prepared for multiple stop-overs and watch those flight legs for the stops.

We will fly into the “heart of Alaska” and on the way RTMM scenery adds many scenic views to this trip from portions of the BWEP SAK/Richardson to Snow Dogs hangar and signage. In this trip we will also pass over the Yukon River, travel to the west coast to the Bering Sea then make our way to Merrill Field (PAMR) for our final delivery before taking a short run back to Valdez Pioneer Field PAVD.

This is a hefty trip: We are covering over 2800 nautical miles and to do it we’ll need a “multi” (a multi-engine) aircraft. All are landing mooring in this trip so floats/amphibian not required.

We are in a prime scenic area of ORBX-SAK (and will go way north of SAK) but will return and there are plenty of RTMM scenery and eye-candy enhancements.

Aircraft: Due the length of the flight legs and multiple stops we’ll need a more powerful twin/multi aircraft: Either the DC3/C47/BT67, Curtiss C-46 Commando, Rockwell AC500x Commander series, Beech 18, DHC6 etc.
