This is the “Island Hopping BC Style” which is a detailed exploration flying in the San Juan Islands, the Gulf Islands, Central Island, the Discovery Islands and North Island of BC. From south to north we will travel the Islands and explore the waterways, the main passages being the Strait of Georgia in the south, the Discovery Passage which connects to the Johnstone Strait in the north. These water ways intertwine the many islands and separate the British Columbia mainland from Vancouver Island.

The Strait of Georgia or the Georgia Strait is an arm of the Pacific Ocean between Vancouver Island and the extreme southwestern mainland coast of British Columbia, Canada and the extreme northwestern mainland coast of Washington, United States. It is approximately 240 kilometers (150 mi) long and connects to the Discovery Passage.

The Discovery Passage is channel that forms part of the Inside Passage, It is 25 km (16 mi) in length and is the main channel connecting the Strait of Georgia and the Johnstone Strait.

Johnstone Strait is a 110 km (68 mi) channel along the north east coast of Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. The strait meets Discovery Passage which connects to Georgia Strait.

  This excursion has 14 legs and has mix of land/water mooring so an amphibian will be required. Each flight leg has two stop-overs (intermediate stops) and we will visit most of the POI in this  coverage area.
